Has anyone else been in this situation? If so what was the outcome? It's not fresh blood, just dark brown watery discharge. Thanks x

Brown blood is old blood, so basically it means it probably came away a few days ago but is only just exiting your body. So, if in that time your hcg levels have doubled, I'd say with confidence that everything is probably just fine, hun!

How many weeks are you?

This pregnancy I had spotting red and brown between 4 and 5 weeks, bleeding at 7 and 9 weeks. Was heavy enough to use pads at 9 weeks and still everything was fine. Doubling hcg at early doors then scans after each bleed helped to stay sane.

Doubling hcg is a great sign. Bleeding isn't always bad news. Try to stay as calm as you can (but it's bloody hard!)

With my first pregnancy I bled regularly roughly every two weeks until about 16/18 weeks and it was red blood. I would go to the hospital and everything was okay. I did then bleed at 38/39 weeks and was kept in for monitoring and was induced early (5 days) and gave birth to a healthy 6lb 13.5oz baby girl <3 don't lose hope, it might just be old blood. If you get cramping with it I'd go to the hospital and get an internal scan done :) x
