Its only 10.40am and im already getting myself worked up. Im so scared of going for my 12 week scan next thursday. I have a really horrid feeling im going to get bad news.

For the last 2 weeks my symptoms have stopped completely. I have no sore boobs, no morning sickness, no carvings (im eating like i usually would) and have not gone off anything.

I did another pregnancy test this morning and it does say pregnant but ive been told it would take weeks for hormon levels to drop even if i had miscarried.

I diddnt want to call EPAC as they might think im just being stupid (probably am)
I have tried calling the midwife but it seems to go through a standard call centre type office and always goes to answering machine.

Id really like to get a doppler however they all say that you can only hear a hertbeat from 12 weeks onwards.

Has anyone else felt like this and what did you do to get some reassurance?

Sorry for being on a downer.
xx

 Like you I've got my scan next thursday and so scared. I'm sure everything will be fine for both of us.

You've had no bleeding right?

I was bleeding in the early stages when i was around 5 weeks and they did a scan, thankfully baby was fine. Although ive had no bleeding since then im worried that i may have had a missed miscarrage.

Good luck for your scan

xx

They are very very very rare

I'm sure everything is fine, just try to relax (this is my second and I'm no better!)

I was terrified before my 12 wk scan too, I had very few symptoms and was convinced I was going to get bad news, but everything was fine. Im sure everything will be fine for you too, there is not much you can do except wait - I know its really hard, but it will come.

Dont get a doppler yet - its early and you might just frighten yourself more

Thanks for your replies girls, i do feel a little better this afternoon, its weird but i can feel a kind of lower pressure in my tummy which feels like the baby, i cant actually feel the baby moving but its like there is definatly something there. does that make sence?

xxx

Oh you poor baby!

I knwo how you feel you just need to busy yourself until then also get early nights makes the daygo quicker...

Im sure it will be fine, I have heard that sometimes the symtoms ease as the placenta takes over (the main reason why 1st tri is so important is because the preggo isnt using the placenta yet)...

Hi,

I wouldn't worry if I were you :) The stress is bad for your baby...

Besides, you DON'T KNOW there is something wrong!!!
My simptoms eased dramatically around 10 days ago and at the beginning I would have like a bit of nausea, just to remind myself that I really am pregnant... but it's not the same for all women.

I have no reason to believe something is wrong, AND NEITHER HAVE YOU, right?

I hope you will manage to get the reassurance you are after very soon  BEST OF LUCK!!!

there is a time between 10 and 11 weeks your body adjusts to more hormone levels and your body doesnt show many signs...then baby goes into growth spurt and you'll wanna eat everything in sight..lol...its ok babe you'll be fine :)
