Havent had it confirmed yet - Its driving me mad!!

Got a BFP on Sat and would have loved to go to docs this morning to get it confirmed but hubby away till wednesday so will have to wait till Thursday - Its driving me mad..................I really want it confirmed so I can start believing......agggrrrhhhhhhh

The doctors probably won't do a test for you anyway hun, I never had anything confirmed for my 3 pregnancies.

trust your home test! Congrats!

I'd start believing it now hun.

The doc is most likely to just take your word for it, as their urine tests are no different to HPTs.

Do the docs give you the urine results there & then or do they tell you later in writing? Also when I go to the docs will they book me an appointment with the midwife there and then? Read a few posts about some people not yet had their appointment with a midwife and they are 8 weeks plus.

How does it work, im not really sure im a 1st timer.

Im 7 weeks and not seen anyone! I went docs today to book my appointment dont have to do urine they take ur word for it... They refer u to meet ur midwife so she can take all ur details and book ur scan in... but my docs are awful i have to go hospital to do that which i refuse to so i shall sit at home and watch my little star grow xxx

Im still not believing it - although i have a docs appointment on wednesday so hopefully be able to talk to them about it. I think i am still in lala land - the BFP was a long time coming so i guess thats why it hasn't quite sunk in yet!

Hi hun went to my docs today, they dont test for you, just take your word for it, got my first midwives appointment too - 4th October

If your Dr is anything like mine, you'll tell them your preggers, they say, ' oh right, don't eat soft cheese, blah blah, don't smoke or drink, you'll get a scan at 20 weeks, Oh or is it 12 weeks now, I'm not sure....mmmnn - see the midwife' When what they are really thinking is 'what shall I have for my dinner tonight....?!!

I saw my MW at around 7 weeks, although some people don't until about 12 weeks - just depends on your area.

Hey Congrats on your BFP! When I had my doctors appointment all they did was give me a form to fill out for my maternity exemption card I didn't get to see the midwife til I was 12 weeks and that was a group appointment so my first midwife appointment wasn't til I was about 14 weeks. I didn't actually get my pregnancy confirmed till I had my scan at 12 weeks. Til then I was walking round convinced the test was wrong lol and I couldn't b pregnant! xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm the same wasn't confirmed, just took my word for it. Midwife took bloods etc at 7 weeks but haven't heard anything back..only time i actually got the realisation of a baby in there was my scan!!!
