went on to claim income support during maternity leave?
My job starts at 6am everyday and the support I thought I was gona have...as in leaving my LO with a family member who'll drop her to creche when it opens, unfortunately isn't an option anymore.
Therefore I know that there's no way around the situation and need to find another job with hours to suit, as due to business needs there's no way that my current employer can allow me to start my job when I would need to when I go back after mat leave.
No one is gona employ me at the moment with only 4 weeks to go so its pointless job searching now...and I want to spend some time with my LO before I have to go back to work etc.
Does anyone know if I'd be allowed to come off SMP and go for income support? And if I'd be worse off or better off?
I am going to ring them tomorrow to hopefully make an appointment to chat with someone about it,but I just wondered if anyone had any experience or info on this? x
