Harmony Test

My combined scan/ testing came back 163/1 so my hospital have sent my bloods for Harmony Testing. They says it's intermediate risk and not to worry but it's still quite scary. Any positive stories would be great. It's happened because my blood is low in PAP-a hormone.

I see you are in Kent where abouts? I'm just across the water in Essex bit work in kent. Anyways our hospital told us that if we were above the high risk numbers which is 1:150 they wouldn't have told us.
I was high risk back on October at 1:91 the nuchal fold was 1.9 so well below limit but my Hcg was double what it should be at 2 and my papp a was i think 3.6 and it should be above 4.
We opted for the NIPT privately as our trust doesn't offer it on the NHS until 2018 and we had our results in 5 days at low risk less then 1%
For your papp a it just means that you will need extra scans from 26 weeks because it's to do with placenta functioning and growth of the baby.
A fair few of us on here have had it done so ask away x

Thank you Loula, I really appreciate your comments and experience. I think everything else was fine apart from the hormone thing. I will try to keep my brain from over thinking until the results, it could just be delayed due to the Christmas break

Your odds are good so try not to worry and alot of people wouldn't even get further testing with results like that x

I had the harmony test and low pappA (0.27) in my 12 week screening results. I was 1:2000 something overall risk but I would worry about it so I paid to have it done. I’m growing a chromosomally normal baby and the test has provided a lot of reassurance to me.

Fx it is ok. Chances are it will be. Xx

I had a 1 in 5 risk so had amnio last weds. Thursday evening 5pm I got the call to say my baby is fine so please keep hope as your odds are massively higher than mine were so everything should be fine xx

Nothing yet. They said up to 2 weeks because of xmas and it's only been 8 working days. Trying to think positive through the radio silence x
