Had my HSG this morning...

...And my tubes are looking mighty fine! (shame about my ovaries lol) I was relieved to know they are both clear! It's one less thing to worry about.

Oh my god it hurt though! Not for long, but while the dye was going through it was like really bad period pain, really intense and I felt all dizzy afterwards because of it. But woop woop it's all over with now! And I have awarded myself an afternoon on the sofa to recover! Just feel a bit crampy now.

We are going back to see the consultant at 3pm on Tuesday, where we'll get hubbys sperm test results and if they're all good I'll get a prescription for provera to induce a bleed and then clomid!

It feels exciting that I will actually be in with a chance of getting pregnant, although I'm nervous about being in the 2ww club for the first time!

Big YAY! for todays results! I was interested in how you got on, my hsg is in a few months eek. Glad things are moving along for you, not sure you'll enjoy the 2ww club, it can drive you mental lol! But at least you'll be in with a shot so im really pleased for you hun XXX

Ah poor you, i know exactly how you feel as i had mine done in July. You feel crappy for a few days, make sure you have a week off work and take it easy, especially with the stiches, look after them! Your OH should give you a lot of TLC. My tubes were clear but ovaries didn't work on their own so started on clomid and even though i'm on my 2nd cycle of clomid since the op the tests showed that i ovulated. Good luck

Same here it killed when the dye went through but was ok afterwards. Thats great news, thats one thing of your mind isnt it. I remember when i was having mine done, i was convinced my tubes was blocked but all was ok. Great news hun! Rooting for your bfp. xx

Hi guys. I hope you don't mind me jumping in here... For the last 2 periods I've phoned up to book my hsg but consultant has been on leave!!! I'm hoping third time lucky as because of the delay I've had to move my next apt back to January....rubbish!

Anyway does hsg really hurt then? I was planning on going back to work once I had it done? Any advice will be great fully received. Thanks x

I went back to work after it. It was painful when they put the dye in but not unberable. Its a kind if weird pain to be honest. It is worth it to find out all is clear!

I had the afternoon off but would've been ok to work just a bit uncomfortable. I found myself really gassy and bloated later on which was the main reason. So it depends what work do really! And the doctor that did mine said some people get no pain and some get bad pain it just depends. Definitely feels good to know they're all clear though! Good luck with booking yours xxx
