had early scan... please read....

hi ya girls, well i found out i was pregnant on sat and iv had the coil fitted for 4 weeks, so obviously needed an early scan. had one today, the sonographer found my coil in a very weird position and not in the right place and two 4cm fibroids in my womb too, but couldnt find a baby or a sac?? so obviously very confused as have had 2 positives and symptoms. we obviously thought ectopic but i have had no pain at all.... so they took a hcg blood test and got that back this afternoon and it was extreamly high ( 381550) so they said this was a good sign but still confused as to where the baby is. i have to have a scan tomoro morning ( not internal this time, abdominal) to check properely.

Im still none the wiser and i dont really know much about hcg levels. I still dont know how far gone i am or anything so be nice to finally have some answers. Just wanted to share this with others.

Possibly not far enough along for them to be able to see bubs? HCG levels are definitely quite high though! Mine were 14530 at 18 weeks! Sorry I'm not much help but didnt want to read and run xx

thanks for reply hun, she did say she wasnt expecting them to be that high, iv got 2 children ( boy and a girl) and had not one bit of sickness on either so this constant sicky feeling is unusual for me lol x

It is quite high, I know sometimes you can have high HCG but no pregnancy. Hopefully they will shed some light on your situation. Fingers crossed for the outcome you want

i kind of think its a molar pregnancy, iv heard your hcg levels can be very high in a molar pregnancy and that could explain the so called fibroiods.... who knows, its very weird and horrible not knowing. to be that high they should be able to see a baby in t he womb x

hi i assume then that they removed your coil so that it couldnt do any further "prevention" if baby is there, it could be that you are having an eptopic but i thought then your levels dropped? (could be wrong) they seem really high, also prehaps its just too early to see baby on a sonography, (assume they did a vaginal one too though?) as sometimes need to do both depending how far along you are and to be fair they cant ALWAYS see a baby especially if you arent as far along as you think. fingers crossed for you xx

no they didnt remove my coil as it was in a very weird place, they normally keep coils in as its more risky to remove it. but i will find out more tomorrow, yes it was a vaginal scan bu i have an abdominal scan tomoro morning. I guess i could just be one of those people whose pregnancy hormones are high. But i will let you know tomorrow what the outcome was. thanks for all replies xx

carlyb i think you have a molar pregnancy hormones are too high for this to be a normal pregnancy. i dont think is ectopic either.
