Thought i was gonna find out date of section today but they don't tell you til four weeks before now boo. Anyway she said it will be at 39 weeks before so we are taking it as 24th Nov and I'm due 2nd Dec.

Just curious nat, why isit you require a c section? Or is it routinely offered? Ive never had one and never been offered one..so im not totally familiar as to why a c section would be given unless there is a last minute problem? Xx

My friend is due her third in November (had two previous sections) and got her date for a this section a month ago! Guess it's different hospitals. I know mine won't be arranged for a while as I've only had 1 previous section.

Mrsmnk: ladies who have had a previous section will be offered either an elective section or vbac (natural after a section) both have their own risks. Do a lady has had 2 previous sections, then the third will be a section delivery as natural would be too risky.

Oh i understand better now thanks for the info. Good luck to you all xx

At my 13 week consultant appointment , we were discussing my labour , and i was told I'd have a planned c section at 39 weeks, if I didn't want to try for a VBAC, I had an emergency c section with my last delivery and it was very traumatic. But I've decided so far to go with a VBAC. But in my area you're not routinely offered a section as an option for delivery, unless there is already medical reasons. I'd ask again Nat for a date, it should be around 39 weeks as I can't see that changing much from different hospitals. X

Yeah as the ladies said, I had an emergency one with my first son after a long three days labour. He was 10lbs 5oz. Then I had back surgery, then I had a planned section with my second son he was 9lbs and a couple weeks early. Then I had more back surgery so I decided why not go for a third section lol. Probably best considering my previous ops. X

My daughter was an emergency c-sec, this time I've been told it's my choice whether to have elective c-sec or try VBAC. I can't decide! If I go for elective c-sec I'll get a date when I'm 36 weeks and it'll be done at 39 weeks. Due 5/11.

I have an appointment in 2 weeks at VBAC assessment clinic to go through choices in more detail.
