Some of you know that my scan date put me over two weeks later than the due date by date of conception. My midwife has been great, and said stick to your dates because I was completely sure, but she couldn't actually change my due date, and would just monitor me really closely at end of pregnancy if I didn't naturally go into labour around MY due date.
Anyway, I had to go to the hospital today as I'm classed as a high risk pregnancy because of having colitis and having had a thyroidectomy. My consultant said "I see you don't agree with scan dates" I said no, and explained how I was so certain and how worried I was about it all and she just said "right, well if you're 100% certain, we will induce you 10 days after YOUR date rather than ours if you go over due, and if you need a c-section, we will do that a few dates before YOUR dates rather than ours." Then she put notes in all my files and on the computer, in big letters saying that I would be classed as overdue from 5th Dec onwards, and if a section is needed it should be based on 4th Dec, not 15th Dec and that this would NOT be changed.
Sooooo happy now cause I'd been getting myself in such a state worrying about baby going really, really overdue and hospital not doing anything! Yay!!!
