had a sweep

Had my 40 week mw apt and all is well in the bp/urine/baby hb areas so that's good!! She offered a sweep so I accepted, I know it goes against the hypnobirthing principles but I was quite intrigued to see if everything was ok up there iykwim as I'd been having some snotty discharge and was hoping it was my plug (which she has confirmed) apparantly baby is fully engaged and she could feel his head when doing the sweep and my cervix is soft and favourable which is apparantly good!! She's advised I go home have a glass of wine, a curry and dtd, of all 3 options the wine is the only one I'm looking fwd to

Fingers x it will set things off, I do feel very period painy now, and went for a 2 mile walk straight after so hopefully there will be a labour thread soon

Thanks Well I really enjoyed my glass of wine but no sign of anything happening yet although my bump feels quite gripey and there is loads of pressure down below. Will update if anything further happens

No news to report yet, I was convinced there would be by now just had a really long nap as was tired out, still having period pains but apparantly sweeps can take 48 hrs to fully work so I'm hoping something happens tonight, everything feels so ready!!!!
