Had 1st Midwife Appoint!

Hey Girls just thought I'd write & let you know I had my first appointment with the midwife yesterday! She was really lovely, took lots of notes, a wee sample then blood samples. But...for all those girls out there terrified of blood tests (I am) just wanted to let you know it wasn't that bad at all! She kept talking to me the entire time which helped take my mind off it and I didn't even realise when she'd finished! Being screened for everything including the sickle cell/Thalassaemia as I have Italian ancesters and apparently that increases the likelihood of you carrying the gene so fingers crossed all will be okay.

She gave me a due date of 29th May which is a bit later than I thought but it's the day after mine & OH's 7 year anniversary which I thought was nice! Just have to wait for my scan date to come through now so getting excited!
