HI sparky

Congrats on the good results.... mmmm chocolate!

can i just ask how you manged to get your test so early on in your pregnancy. I had mine originally booked for 28 weeks then they brought it forward saying the guidelines had been changed to 24 weeks and they then called again to say its been put back to 28 weeks. I'm desperate to have mine as i've been having one or two dodgy symptoms.... was your GTT private?

LMP

i failed my random glucose test big style, the one you get at 13 weeks with your booking in bloodtests. Actually didnt have the test done until 16 weeks as they could not get anymore blood out of me

So massively high blood sugar forced them to test me ASAP as they were convinced it was gestational diabetes!

thanks girls, i'm gonna stuff myself, its been in the fridge as well yummmm

Hi sparky

Ohh poop well it looks like i'll just have to be patient!!

Crikey it sounds like you had quite a scare there early on even more reason why you must be so over the moon!!!

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

congrats enjoy your egg! :cheer:

LMP - Im guessing that gestational diabetes is much the same as normal diabetes and should show up in same way in which case you can buy diabetes test strips which you pee on for about £3-4 I think we saw them in tescos the other day, but when your midwife does urine test at each appointment it tests a number of things sugar level, protein etc and I think if there was a real problem it should have shown in those already.
If your really worrying about it call your midwife tell her you have reason to think you may have gestational diabetes and are concerned and she may be able to test earlier to put your mind at rest

Thanks Ladies stuffed myself with choc last night and suffering for it today :puke:

Also got my triple test results in the post yesterday which have come back as low risk, so will stop worrying so much now....until the next anomality!
