Grrrr binmen

They broke our bin yesterday, we no longer have a lid, but they didn't tell us It's the normal rubbish one.

Matt called them today and it's going to take up to 2 weeks to get a new one!! Can you imagine in this heat what the stench is going to be like? Thank god I only use one disposable a day cos it would be even worse if there were tens of nappies in it. Plus we live in a terraced street so the bins are in the small front garden right outside the window, I can't even open them cos it's infested with blue bottles already.

Not happy!!

up here if your bingets stolen or the bin men break it they send you out a bigger bin my MIL's rubbish bin the bin men broke the wheel on it and they sent her out a bigger one its great i wanted it from her as we fill ours in one week and it gets emptied every two weeks so its a nightmare ( we use the wee old ladys bin next door....lol)

Aw that's crap. My binman (we have one that always collects ours) is absolutely brilliant. If I ever forget to put it out on the street, he always comes into the back garden to collect it, and he always brings it back into the back garden no matter what. He also collects the old lady next doors rubbish from round the back cos she can't get out. She only has a black bag and he gives her a new one each week even though we all have weelie bins. He's such a love

We don't even get a bin round our way, it's chuck your bags on the side or the road outside your house on a Sunday night and they collect Monday morning. I thought everywhere was like that, we're under privilidged

i rememeber years ago sami that my mum and that had wire metal bins with like a really heavy lid i thought i was made of tar and they had to take the black bags and leave them on the streets too but too many kids were ripping them open and rubbish was every where....lol (i wasnt one of them honest )

my mums neighbour still has one of those, lol. The lids are so heavy. She has the wheely bin but this one sits round the back.

ours is like yours sami, cept we have street wardens going round till midnight on sunday putting £50 fines through letter boxes (we're not meant to put them out until monday morning). Considering the bin men come at 7am and most people round here are dole dossers, I bet the council make a fortune.

My mum still has one of them! They never put them out though, she leaves it round the side of the house to put the rubbish in (she just has a tiny bin in the house and empties it outside all the time)
