 Ooooh I feel so angry! over a..... wheelie bin  My life has come to this, really!

I have been ill with a stomach ulcer and yesterday it was quite bad so I spent the day off work and Jack was in nursery. The bin was put out on the morning, minus about 500 bags that are still in my garden cos of Christmas  I thought I would wait until Si got home so he could bring the bin in as I could hardly move....

Someone has nicked my bin  (i'm almost  at the fact i'm ranting about a bin) but who the hell would do that??? I mean do you just walk down the street and think 'oooh that bin looks good i'll have it' Why why why!! So now I have bin bags in my garden :puke: Cheeky *******s :talkhand:

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I am even more pissed off now, £25 quid it's gonna cost us to replace the bin.

 £25????

hope it turns up, otherwise turn the waterworks on to the council and try get a freebie

The thing is it's got to be one of the neighbours hasn't it, cos no random person is going to walk around town with a wheelie bin  I feel like going into all their gardens. Didn't mark it though so would be pointless :?

Bloody hell! Foreigners were doing it round here to make alcohol!!!

Are you sure it didnt tip into the rubbish cart when they were emptying it? Apparently it happens alot and at my council you get a free bin if you presume that is what happened

No I seen it out front when they had moved out of the street :? Just looked online and it's about £60!! Didn't realise wheelie bins would be so expensive

I'm ordering a new one online, i am paying £60.99, BUT... it's a bigger one, and we were struggling with the other one as we found it sometimes too small, oooh i'mm all excited :rotfl:

my BIL had this happen to him apparently if you live near shops what they do is shoplift hide things in the bin then steal the bin for transportation!

fone the council and kick off, get them to send you a nice new clean shiney bin!

Before you order a bigger bin I'd check that the council will empty it, in case they have a size/weight restriction. I would be so annoyed having to replace something like that, even £25 isn't cheap when it's to replace something some thieving scumbag has swiped.

My paper recycling bags keep going missing but luckily the council replaces those for free, I think the recycling men take them cos they can't be bothered to empty the paper out

there was someone going around nicking bins a while back, then setting up on the side of the road and selling them.

anyway you could chain your bin? take the chain off on collection day if they need to move it?

firstly :rotfl: :rotfl: at your post, someone stealing a bin..just the way you worded it made me giggle

but on a serious note...thieving little gets, that would be so annoying

gives you an excuse to shop online  hehe

Someone stole one of my boxes once i rang the council and they gave me a new one free of charge i then marked them. But a few weeks later it reappeared so i now have an extra box. :D

Its a right pain and such a rip off.

Well I bought a new bigger one.. for £60 :o We needed a bigger one anyway. I checked with the council first and they said as long as it fit on back of truck it was fine. I will definately be marking it next time, I wanted to get those flowery covers but OH says NO!
