growth scan this morning

hi had my weekly doppler scan and they done growth scan today

baby is head down but not engaged and prob never will be she has still got her head in a very flexed position with her head stuck behind my pelvic bone and she is lying back to back. She is just under 3lbs just now so not to bad but not big either they said.

Also said to them that I had been having back pain all day yest on and off and that I had also been sore at the front too so my lovely consultant, well the male one today is so caring and sent me along to the day care unit to be monitered for a bit, was really weird had the belts around my tummy and could hear the heart beat and everytime she moved or kicked her heartbeat went up and then I had a BH and her hearteat went up to 170 from being down at 140ish!! but all is fine and im just sore cause she is back to back. so still in there til at least next Wed when I get my next scan xx

Hi Claire, i can sympathise as it was a back labour i had, and it was really uncomfortable in third tri with ds1. there is still time for baby to turn, i know it doesnt make you feel any better when people say that to you tho. trying to remember what the website was called that offers advice for babies in a strange position.... Spinning babies.

If for some lucky reason, she is still there at term, and gets to eg 5lb ish, will you have to have the section, or can you try natural ?

thanks JJ its because her head is stuck behind the pelvic bone my 2 consultants have said she wont be able to get it out and get her head engaged so I would labour normally but she wouldnt enter the birth canal, poor wee soul, really gutted but whatever is safe for me and baby im happy to go with xx

ahh bless her , bet she can't wait to be out then too, hope he necks not too sore from sleeping in a funny position , yes agree anything that gets out baby happy and well is fine X

I said that too about her neck and it being sore but the consultnant said that if she was really uncomfortable she would be kicking alot and showing signs of distress but shes just comfortable so she must be happy lol, so glad she is at the 3lbs mark now xx

Can't believe that she's got to the 3lb mark, thats brilliant news. Lets hope she keeps on growing bit by bi overt the next 10 days. xxxxx

I know so that was half a pound last week!!!! so if I went full term which is 7 weeks thats another 3 and a half pounds that would be fab!!! after all this stress the wee bum that she is lol but there is still talk abut deliverning at 34 weeks, scary xx
