Got really upset today now worried In affecting bubs :(

My old moggy boy cat has got really ill really quickly. DH took him to the vets as an emergency this morning because his breathing was laboured - I had gone to work and knew nothing about it until DH rang me and told me what's going on. Anyway the upshot is he's been taken to the pet hospital and has to stay there for a heart scan. He may have to stay overnight to see the specialist tomorrow.

Anyway I've had to leave the office several times today because I was gonna burst into tears. Feel sick and headachy and had a major fit at lunch when I spoke to DH. I'd be upset anyway but everything seems to be amplified now Im PG and I just can't seem to control it. Normally I'd be able to keep calm. I'm now worried that I'll affect bubs. He's not as kicky today so worrying about that too. Just feel helpless and stupid at the same time and sick with worry.

Not a lot anyone can do for me, just needed to let it out I guess.

Poor you, I know how distressing it is when your pets are ill. Had a similar thing with my cat a few months ago, it was absolutely horrible, but she is much better now, and I hope your cat will come out the other end fit and healthy, too! Baby-wise, I've heard that whilst they can feel it when we are stressed or unhappy, having to deal with a certain amount of that during the pregnancy helps them to be able to cope with stress in their later life, so I wouldn't let that add to your worries too much!

i've had a MASSIVE argument with my OH before which ended up in a bit fit and tears from me and all is fine. i'm sure ur little boy is fine xx

Thanks everyone. I got worked up into a right state this morning and had to keep leaving the office for a cry.

Luckily Bubs woke up at around lunch time and has been kicking me fairly regularly so I feel better about that. However I feel really tight and muscle strainy tonight which is rather unpleasant.

My moggy is now in pet hospital overnight. They did a heart scan and found fluid on his lungs which is why he had trouble breathing. They've drained his lungs and are sending the fluid off for cultures. Luckily the heart specialist guy is their tomorrow so he'll have a look at him. My mog already has a long standing heart mumur so I'm pretty worried. I'm just gonna have to wait and see what tomorrow brings. I'm going to bed now and hiding under the quilt

Got the worse news looks like we'll have to make the worst decision over the next few days.

Feel sick and can't stop crying. Doing my best to stay calm but just can't.
