got our moving date

On Thursday, the people selling the house we're buying decided they didn't want to risk exchanging and completing on the same day and were ready to pull out. Our deposit is tied up in this house which we're remortgaging on buy to let, but we can't do that until after we've completed on the other house In theory it all worked - but only the solicitors had any confidence in it.

Anyway, FIL came to the rescue with a rather large cheque on Thursday night, so we can exchange on Tuesday and complete on the 20th We'll have to rent this house to ourselves for two days and we're set to move on the 22nd

Good luck with the move...hope all goes well - just remember to pack a seperate carrier bag with some tea bags, sugar, toilet roll and soap etc, amazing how lost that much needed stuff becomes when you first arrive at a new place!!
