Hey

We're going on holiday with Amelia in a couple of days to visit OH's grandparents in Crete and i'm panicking about it so much. It's 2 hours ahead of the UK over there and i'm worrying about her routine, how she's going to be on the plane etc and what to take etc. :? Can anyone help?

I took DD to Ibiza when she was around the same age and honestly? She didn't notice! Lol! She slept on the plane despite me packing loads of stuff in my hand luggage to keep her entertained! Lol. Routine wise I will admit I let it go whilst we were away, it was a holiday after all ;), and she settled straight back into it when we got back x x

What kind of advice are you looking for re. what to take? Toys or clothes or both?

Or me too!! I'm going to Spain in October and LO be 10 mth then! So advice here too plz! How were babies ears on plane? That's what I'm worried about and yes what to take? That's good to hear about routine as not planning on getting stressed trying to do it abroad as we may eat our etc! But good to know they settle straight back in xx

I was worried about ears and planned to give her some water in her bottle as we took off and landed but she wasn't interested and didn't appear to notice! If you have a dummy you could give them that?
Toys wise in my hand luggage I took a musical octopus she loved, a couple of soft books, a favourite soft toy and a teething key ring rattle thing as she was teething. I didn't need any as she slept through the plane journey :D there and back! Clothes wise I took summer things, two hats, three headscarves and two uv swimsuit things. Also took a swim ring thing but never used it, just her arm bands! Took two bottles of 50+ sun cream. I don't think I was sterilising so I just took some SMA but if I remember rightly they sold it out there, pampers nappies and wipes too. If I remember anything else I'll let you know :D

Oh we didn't take a pram-we borrowed one from the hotel but checked before we went that this was possible :D

We're taking our own cheap pushchair. I'm not sure whether can get SMA out there I don't think so because OH's nan looked and looked and couldn't find it, just going to take a small tin & some cartons I think.

we went a few weeks ago, LO was 7 months, Took calpol, bonjela and thermometer just in case, They did come in handy! took our own formula and bottle of milton to sterlise (although despite wrapping it in 3 plastic bags it leaked and stained 4 of ohs nice tops :( ) LO also slept on plane a lot. We had bottle and dummy ready for ears but it didnt bother him. it was one hour infront so we left him on normal wake up of 7 am (ish, !!) and bed at 7 pm our time so he ended up going to bed at 8pm and up at 8 am

I'm off with Emily on wednedsay too and feeling a bit apprehensive! When you off?? :)

Was just about to post a similar thread! I'm off in a month not far just on a boat trip so was also unsure of what to take! Sofia will be 4 months. X
