Hmmm... I wouldn't worry about the dog's name. My dog is called Mia and one of our friends said "why have you called your dog Mia, that's a cats name!" only to go and name his baby Mia a year later although I guess if he's a very close friend of both of yours then it would be a bit more difficult.

Yeah she's gonna be Mol tbh - we are a family of either nick names or shortened - my dad can't stand my name shortened so I just get called various things!! Put it this way my brothers name is Adam and he gets called either Derek or Desmond by my dad.... We a bloody strange bunch tbh!

I think it is, still think he's gonna butt in with Mollie Rose though - I don't like it! But I've put my foot down on not calling a lad Anthony, so I may have to give into something!! Xx

My Best friends niece is Molly may so I'm trying to avoid that! I do like Mollie Rae, the rest I can't say I do like! I'm so fussy it's not funny! I've not even told him about Mollie - but I'm not shifting! He's far to laid back tbh! X

Don't worry about being fussy - you're right she's got that name for the rest of her life it is important you get it right for you x Mollie Kathryn sounds lovely and if it's any consolation if you do let him have the middle name, mollie rose sounds really nice together too x

It does but I prefer Mollie Kathryn so much more! He won't like it, he doesn't like any name and I'm not saying he would be disappointed if it was a girl but he would rather have a boy (which I sway in the same way tbh!) but he can find faults with every single name I say for both. He wants to name a lad after him, Anthony. No I don't think so. His name is Freddie and that's it! Xx

I really liked the names Masie, Sadie and Amelie too, but then I realised the baby's name ends with 'ie' so it wouldn't really go!

Well his surname is boot - so as long at it doesn't rhyme we're ok! Just do what I did and keep writing them down, we both really like Layla for a girl - I just didn't like Layla Boot written down so went off that idea very quickly!

We sound in the same boat - I'm sure I'm having a boy, everyone around me is sure too and ive got his name sorted but I've gotta sort a girls name out too!! Xx

My problem is my OH is Egyptian and I need to pick an arabic name and I hate them all! argh x

Does it HAVE to be an arabic name? I wouldnt use any name i didnt love regardless of its origin. Maybe your oh would comprimise if you found something you really loved, or there may be an arabic version that he can use? X

i worked with a girl called with an arabic name - "Ruba" and when she was living in the uk she changed it to ruby =. i also had a friend called Murah whos name was arabic
