Getting car seat checked

Hi!!!!

Do you know where I need to go for having my car seat checked? I have a second hand one but want to check that it is still ok to use, like it has not been into any car crash and has been damaged by it. Do i need to go to a normal garage, a shop?

Halfords do it, not sure if they check for damage etc, they will just show you how to fit it properly.

This was discussed on a thread previously. Personally, I would take it to the AA. You can find one near you. They're absolutely brilliant at giving advice, where I found that Halfords often find fault so that you end up buying a new seat from them. Not all their staff members are well trained, where as the AA specialises in car safety with no financial gain for advice.
