Gestational Diabeties

Hi all just a message to say ... my dad has type 1 diabetes. Due to this i was given a glucose test in my last pregnancy, all was ok.

This time round my midwife booked me in for the same test on 3/3/11

The last two weeks i have been really thirsty and weeing lots tmi sorry and have had serious fatigue, all signs of diabeties.

i called the midwife and made an appointment for today to go and be checked she said better safe than sorry but now im worrying im over reacting

anyone offer any info? thanking yous xx

I had gestational diabetes, i didnt get any symptoms though just found out at my 28 week check. It wasnt too bad chick just had to do the thumb pricks before and after meals. I had a very healthy 8lb1 oz baby and we were both fine after. The worst thing i did was google it. Scared me to death But my diabetes midwife soon put me at ease. xxxxxxxx
