Morning Girls,
Firstly thank you for all the lovely messages.
Finally back home and hoping I get a long enough chance to write this out
As you know last thursday we found out my little man was a footling breach - I knew it was a boy the whole way through. Went in Monday morning for elective c-section (not at all what I was hoping for!), DH was with me which was just brilliant.
We were first in so all seemed to happen very quickly and have to say that the first few minutes in the operating theatre were very scary - all of a sudden I realised there was no going back and it was so clinical and busy. However, all my hypnobirthing did come in a handy as I just used those techniques to calm myself down and DH was there with me being great. After this it got easier and the staff were great. George came out feet first and screaming!
Olly was still allowed to tell me sex of baby and then he had a 40min first cuddle sat right next to me whilst they finished me off. That first day was brilliant with DH there and I was up and around by the afternoon.
Was in hospital until yesterday lunchtime - had some ups and downs, my scar is fine but its taken George and I a little while to work out breast feeding and my nipples have been very sore (seem to be getting better slowly now), he also has quite a lot of wind and struggles to settle at night time-need someone else to take for bits so I can get some sleep. Have really missed DH but he's back tomorrow night for just over a week and my mum is here helping until then.
Anyway I'll stop rabbitting on now, thanks for all the guidance and support through the pregnancy and looking forward to seeing all the other tri3 girls announcments soon
