This is what I like to do of a weekend....

http://www.geocaching.com/

Hopefully off to do a spot of night time green laning/geocaching soon....I'll post some pics :)

Any of you guys do it?

:D

my mother and her bloke do it alot.
they took me and arron once, not my sort of thing i was bored to tears wondering about trying to find stuff hidden in a tree trunk
xx

I love it! I'm crap at it but I love it

Theres loads in church yards so you can even pop into town and do it, if you have the guts :) I'm not very stealthy

I've heard of this :D . I tried finding out about it a few years ago but didn't know what it's proper name was. Cheers Lou :D .

oh they go everywhere doing it, they go into busy streets hunting them down
it is very popular they have there own erm forgot the names of it
but they are little bears one is a sheep 1 is a frog and they have been all over the world in different caches
xx

No probs. If you like being outdoors and solving puzzles you'll really enjoy it!

Great fun for kids too :)

Oooh I remember about 4 years ago there being a artical on this on radio4 we had just got our tom tom and I wanted to do it but it was a little club on the moors who met in a pub

OOh this looks good.

Can you use a normal tom tom then?

Well I've tried with our sat nav and it wasn't very accurate so you are better with a hand held sat nav really. Probably the easier ones would be ok but the more dificult ones would be hard with an ordinary car sat nav. Give it a try! :)

just looked on the site and there are some near me - come round Lou and I'll make you a cuppa.

I have a shite sense of direction (even with sat nav) so this is not for me.

we do it! got 117 caches under our belt now and 8 hidden as well as a few travel bugs out !

Just about to release a travel bug for spud!

 Wow! I'm only beginning

get a travelbug! its great fun seeing how far they get one of ours has done almost 5k miles

I've registered an account and we're going to find one local to us on Sunday :D . Do I put something in the box and then take something out? What do I put in it? Hoping the tomtom is accurate enough.

I wanna do this! I just looked up about travel bugs too and I want one.... do you have to buy them from the states? If so can I share and order with someone?

I'm gonna dig out the tom tom and see if I can find an easy one :)

I think you can put anything in them. Not sure

i would have to double check with my mother but as far as im aware you just get whatever you want to use as a travel bug teddy ect,
then order a dog tag thing to go on it, with its travelbug number
then off you go :)
my mums have been all over the wrld including to newzeland
xx

OMG there are HUNDREDS near me!

Can't find my tom tom though :?
