Firstly, I WAS joking about locking the thread, it was a joke, I was joking. haha.

Secondly......I dont care what peoples opinions are on what should or shouldnt be asked for/offered on freecycle, if you find something amusing then yay for you but thats no need to be so rude about it. For all you know one of the posters of the items described could be a member here, or come across the site through googling the terms "digital camera freecycle"....you just dont know and you shouldnt ridicule it anymore than you can ridicule posts from another forum. It is another forum, and some people have been quoting posts and laughing at them. THAT is not on.

I think anyone would be very lucky to get a nintendo ds off freecycle or a digital camera.

I think items like that are very desirable and mist people would sell them because of their value worth.

It would be a case of someone with a lot of money or generosity to put items such as above on freecycle, though you would want them to go to someone who genuinly cant afford one.

I dont use freecycle and dont think i would as I like to save for items i want and buy them new ir even go to carboot.

GGG - With your comments i can only think you must have asked for something similar/pricey on there, which if you did, did you get what you were after?

If i had asked for something on there that was rediculously priced in the first place only to ask for it for nothing and people laughed i really dont think i would be offended, infact i would expect it. Now if someone laughed at a post i made where i was concerned about something or was something of a serious nature then yes i may be offended. If i went on there and asked for £300 do you seriously think i would get it?

lol no I have never asked for something that expensive....I have however given away a set of fiat coupe wheels with 16" alloys that were worth quite a bit.

Again......its not about whether you think its cheeky or not...its about ridiculing people who do not have the opportunity to defend themselves.

If you want to laugh at them, go and do it on freecycle....not here. Thats the point.

I've seen a few ps1 consoles and mamas and papas prams being given away on my local freecycle. I think some stuff has such a low resale value people would rather give it away than go to the hassle of selling it for the sake of a 20 quid.
A lot of charity shops won't accept electrical goods so I've been in the position before where I've thrown away electrical stuff that's worked perfectly well, but I haven't known what to do with it

i saw a quite expensive pram offered on there recently, which i thought was nice.
