I know there's a thread in another section but I thought I'd raise awareness here in first tri

It's a yahoo group (so you need a yahoo account) but there's local groups all over the uk, there's 3 alone between southampton and winchester, which is only 16 miles.

People put up wanted and offered posts with either things they want or things they are offering respectively.

So far I've gotten a baby walker, nappy wrapper, pram and a sterilizer.

I actually found freecycle yesterday and hopefully ill find lots of cool freebies on there! hehe well done for raising awareness it seems like a great site!

It really is, the lady I'm getting the pram off (this evening) has said because I mentioned it was my first she'll offer anything she's getting rid of to me before putting it on free cycle too! Which is sooo lovely.

Over the last couple of years we've got bookshelves and stuff off of there!
Need to start keeping an eye on it again lol.

I'm amazed where I am to find that there's so much baby stuff going recently!

When we first started trying in 05/06 we picked up loads of baby stuff, steriliser, baby carrier changing mat and stuff.
But over the time we've given most of it away to other people, with the exception of the carrier which G refused to part with lol.
I'll definately start looking again once we pass 12 weeks.

i have used it to get rid of a few things. moses basket & stand, cd rack, dvd rack etc...

better than seing it go to waste if you tip it.

Oh definitely, whenever we are finished using stuff I'll either freecycle or donate to friends!

I gave away ALL my baby/maternity stuff away on freecycle in september because hubby said he definatly did not want another child, then in october he out of the blue says... OK lets make a baby

At least i get all the fun off getting all new stuff again, new to me anyway, i'm a freecycle & ebay fan i cant resist a freebie or bargin

Yep love freecycle got a few bits on there and gave a lady a breastpump who despretley needed one, its great!
