i'm gonna buy a breastpump to express some milk 2 leave with my parents so they can babysit and i can go out 2 the cinema or something, but i thought just in case they spill the milk i leave them, or its not enough or whatever, i should buy a couple of those cartons of formula just in case?
just wanna kno which type is best (it has 2b one that comes in a carton, dont wanna buy a whole tin as will prob be wasted)

i did the same got SMA gold they used it most of the time too i could never get much out of me wiv a pump. i chose that one because my friend is a nurse and said that it was the one which is closer to breast milk. xx

I would say you need to make your mind up on this one as they all claim to be closer to breast milk, I have found sma gold to be more diffcult for my little ones to digest, have found it left them constipated. I am breastfeeding but am using aptamil when necessary and havnt had any probs, touch wood. It's tough to choose, I've heard farleys is good too, have a look at the cartonsand see what you think.

I agree with Ellie, all of them claim to be closest to breastmilk but there isn't really any difference. Use the one that suits Milly. I was lucky in that Seren had both SMA and aptimal with no problems but I have heard that other babies have not settled on certain formulas.

I was pants at expressing, was so demoralising to sit there for ages and only get a dribble

SMA gold is alot sweeter than other formula's so it's common to make them constipated, Harry is on C&G and he's had no problems, I've heard that Aptimil is a good choice too!

I found that SMA made mine sick all the time. Cow and gates a good one though.

Formual is making Dylan puke so my HV advised me to try aptamil as she said this was the closest to breast milk..

Ive tasted breast milk and every formula when trying to get oli to take it when she was about 4 weeks old ( she wouldnt have it )

Im sorry but personaly I think formula tastes nothing like breast milk

Which is why she wouldnt take it

Youi go for what you want girl and get a carton cos as shes BF she will noty use it all
