For the lucky ladies, with no tears or cuts !!

I didnt have any stitches, just a small graze which didnt even hurt, I didnt do anything to prevent this and was so out my tree on diamorphine at the pushing stage that i dont think i could have listened to anything the midwife said, I think its either just luck or some of us just have looser foo's than others

Ok so i've got a small tear in my labia didn't need a stitching and isn't painful. I did'nt do any massage or anything. My advice is to scream or shout or groan when you are pushing this relaxes your throat helping things open up down there as if you gritting your teeth it tenses everyting up, also listen to midwife when they say slow down pant etc xx

I think tearing or being cut is always your major fear when pregnant. But believe me, you don't care AT ALL when it's actually happening!

After over 2 hours of pushing, the doctor coming into the room with a large pair of scissors was the best thing I colud have seen. I needed to get him out and I knew she was my only way to do so, I could have jumped for joy!

I had no prior pain relief before they cut me, but they injected some local anaesthetic. Really wasn't that bad. Didn't feel the cut. Was being stitched for over 30 mins I think and again, compared to what I'd just gone through it was nothing.

I know it sounds silly to say it now, but pregnant ladies, please do not worry about being cut, there are worse things when giving birth!

Thank you for that :) Bein cut has been a major phobia of mine.

I tore with my son. Needed 6 stsitches. I think the thought of tearing again scares me a lot. But not ure it was that horrific when it actually happened. I was standing up. The MW told me to stop pushing, but i couldn't....This time I will listen for sure!
