Hi all just 3 quick questions..

How long after your section did your scar completely heal?

How long after your section did you stop bleeding (i still am which im surprised about).

Did you get back pain when walking after your section? Mine is still aching..

How long after your section did your scar completely heal? Unfortunately for me I got an infection in my scar so it took ages to heal, 2 courses of antibiotics later and the infection healed and about a week after that my scar completely closed up and healed. It was healing so nicely too before that stupid infection. I would say it took about 6 weeks to heal completely.

How long after your section did you stop bleeding (i still am which im surprised about). Again this was prolonged for me and I put that down to the infection as well, I was bleeding for about 9 weeks in total. Sometimes it would look like it was stopping and then it came back with a vengeance, usually when I had been out for a walk it came back again.

Did you get back pain when walking after your section? Mine is still aching.. I didnt get any back pain thankfully but if you had an epidural I thin back pain is one of the common side effects and many people do suffer afterwards with back ache Hope it clears up soon.

I got an infection 12 days after my section, so it took a bit longer than normal. I seem to remember going for my smear at 7 weeks and asking the nurse to have a look as a bit of stitch had appeared at the infected end. She literally touched it and it fell off! She told me that it was fully healed then.

I did FAR too much and bleed for 6 weeks. Slow down luv, take it easy and your bleeding should stop! You may also be having a period.

Did you get back pain when walking after your section?

I'd check with your GP about this luv, as it sounds like back pain caused by your spinal. I didn't have any back pain at all!

I can't remember this but I definitely remember seeing the doctor to get mroe painkillers 3 weeks post section and he said it was healing really well and almost fully healed. I think that was at 3 weeks.

I stopped bleeding at 8 weeks iirc. It took FOREVER!!!!!

I did, and it took a while to go. Mind you, I had back problems before anyway but this was a new pain. I think it was a combination of having had a spinal, the fact that you don't use your core muscles properly cos you had a major cut through your muscles, and I definitely couldn't stand up straight for ages after the section anyway! You are going to be using muscles you don't normally use to protect the muscles that have been cut through. It takes time for your core muscles to build back up again so I really recommend that after you have had your 6 week check and as long as doc gives the OK, to do some simple exercises that you can do (like pelvic floor) to get them back to normal. *steps down from physio mode*

Mine seemed to heal pretty quick and without any problems. It felt a bit lumpy along the scar for about 12 months and it still feels numb now, 18 months on.

6 weeks exactly.

I didn't get back pain. I was rushing around and driving again a week later cos Ryan stayed in hospital and we were always back and forth visiting him so I just had to get on with things.

Try and take it easy if you're in pain though, it's different for everyone

it's two weeks today since i had my emergency section, and i feel completely back to normal. i know i'm not healed properly, but it's itchy; so i know it's healing and i stopped taking my painkillers a good few days ago.

i'm still bleeding. one day it's faint brown, and i think it's going to stop, but then the next day it's bright red again!

I've been real lucky and within a fortnight it was healed enough to be able to walk a couple of miles easily without pain or pulling.

It was about 4 weeks when I stopped then restarted after about 4 days for a few more days and nowt since then (am 7wks post preg now)

Nope didn't get backache at all (had my fair share when pregnant thank you very much lol)
