For fun - when did your tummy button become an outie?

I hate my tummy button with a passion. Normally it's very deep and at 30 weeks it's still an 'innie' but now quite shallow. I'm wondering if it's going to make it to the other direction!

Anyone else still waiting for the transition, or when did you find yours had 'turned'? :D

Also, does it gradually grow in the other direction, or does it suddenly just pop out?!

Mine popped out aged ago....at about 24 weeks! I had a really deep innie aswell! I'm not sure if my anterior placenta had anything to do with it. No idea why else it would pop out so early!

I've got quite a deep innie and it went flat for a long while and has only really become an outie in the last two weeks or so (so since about 36 weeks). Prior to that, it would go outie when I was in certain positions or my knickers were lying on a particular line along my tummy, but not stay like that all the time.

It's also weirdly soft, I expected it to be hard and gristly for some reason but it's really delicate and soft!

I had a deep innie too and it's popped out horribly! I hate it as you can so see it through any tops I wear! Annoyingly I've had a few key hole surgeries too so my belly button resembles nothing like what it should - definitely no future bikini's for me!!

Mine is more outee than innie now but more of a little mound than anything truely prutuding! I like how soft the skin is. I would say mine popped 34 weeks but was on the verge for weeks before.

Mine popped out super early, I think about 16 weeks!! It must not be very deep as it was the same last pregnancy! It always shows under tops too!

Still waiting for mine to pop, lol! It is getting smaller by the day I'm sure and is a hugh source of amusement to hubby who for some reason thinks its all hilarious! x

Mine is super deep! With my son, it never popped out. It just went flat and stayed flat. I was enormous and went a week over due with no outie!

Mine has been an outie for a few weeks now, popped out at about 30w with James!

At least I know it will go back in after

X

Mine is perilously close to becoming an outie....I have quite a tiny belly button so thought it might have happened sooner.

Holding out hope it won't happen at all as I think I might throw up if/when it does-I hate belly buttons!!!!

I've been wondering the same thing! Mine was very deep and it's still clearly there, not even flat with rest of my skin yet so I'm wondering if it's going stay an innie x

Mine's a halfie - too half out, bottom half in. Very gradual transition which I'm pleased about because I'd assumed they just went "pop" which would've freaked me out. I also didn't realise it went back in. That's a relief.

I've only had a proper bump since about 26 weeks ish so probably sometime after then.

37 weeks now and still little innie! Depends where baby is. Sometimes if baby goes deep, belly button seems like normal and if baby moves, it pops out from top but bottom remains inside. Very odd :D

hours of entertainment ;-)

I have a bit of a belly button fear and was terrified of it popping. It didn't! It was near enough flat, but I think that as I had a very innie one before pregnancy, I managed to escape the pop!

I had a deep innie, and at 31 weeks, it's still an innie, though shallow. I had a navel piercing which had been looking 'under pressure' for a few weeks now, and today I examined it and made the decision to remove it as it looked like it was about to reject!

Lol - I'm not exactly sure but I think it came out around 32/33 weeks. It never came out with my first baby so was a bit shocked when it did this time around. Lol

I'm a few weeks behind you guys at 22 weeks. I've also got a deep innie and had keyhole surgery a few years ago. I've noticed it's not as deep now and also my scar has sort of spread out sideways. The scar had a hard lump of gristle (sorry if tmi) which is softening up now. I expect I will develop an outie soon. Especially as my bump is getting quite large and solid now. Personally I find it fascinating all these changes xx
