Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows when is the latest you can fly as i am looking to have one last getaway and we will be flying in 2 weeks (should work grant me the holidays) and i will 28 weeks then. I know there is the increase risk of DVT but I have had no problems so far throughout my pregnancy (touching wood as i type!!) and baby seems to enjoy kicking me!!

Thanks

You should be fine. Some airlines are fussier than others so I would double check on that. Some companies require a note saying your fit and healthy to fly from the doctor but you really should be ok. When I went to Cyprus I was 17 weeks and there was another pregnant lady there that was 31 weeks.

Where you thinking of going?

Not far - i only think we're going to Spain but the break will be nice especially as it's a gift from my parents!!!

Lucky moo! Lol

I went to benidorm end of July last year and it was bloody boiling!!

I heard it's up to 7 months so you should be fine!! Check with the airlines anyway!! Hope you enjoy your hols x x

Also check that your covered with the insurance company. We had annual insurance so all I had to do was phone them up and notify them that I was pregnant and as it happens Im covered for medical care when pregnant anyways.

I also applied for that government medical card thing? I applied online and had it within a couple of days. Just a bit of extra reassurance really!

Thanks all!! The only catch is me and OH have to go away with my mum and 2 teenage brothers but as we are currently moving house and waiting for all the paperwork to go through with buying our house we cant really afford to go on holiday with the stamp duty etc (thankfully my solicitors fees are free as i work for them) it was nice of her to offer and all we need is spending money!!

I'm slightly excited as will be nice to have a total relax for a week with OH not working 7 days a week and before all kicks off with moving and baby!! Just glad we have the big things sorted for baby so all we need is the little bits!!

i go away in 11days  and we are going to egypt for 2 weeks, flying with thomas cook, they are fine to take me until 32 weeks, so there website says,

some other airlines say 28weeks, but most are 32 weeks but need a doctors note to say that your fit to fly, (my surgery want to charge me £50+vat for this) but i dont need it luckly,

id check on the airlines website but should be ok as long as you advise em when you book it and get enough travel insurance to cover you,

oh i think the budget airlines line jet2 and ryanair wont take you after 26weeks i think but best to check, i have looked at so many b4 we booked they are all merging into one!! lol

good luck and enjoy

xxx:wave:

I am Cabin crew, so should be able to help?! lol! After 28 weeks you need a letter from your doctor. So you will be able to get to where your going to but if you dont have a letter you might not be able to get back. You can fly upto 32 weeks as long as you have a letter from your doctor.

Hope this helps, have a lovely time!
