We have booked a holiday to Las Vegas in november but had started TTC does anyone know if I did get pg in the next few months if it's safe to fly and if not would I be able to get my money back?

im sure ur ok, i think its only at the end of tri 3 thats when u cant fly. dunno but check with ur docs.

las vegas im jelous, can u pack me in ur suitcase?Xx

I could probably fit you in going but when we went last year I did far to much shopping so wont have room coimg home!

Thanks for the info I will ask my GP I probably wont be pg before then but you never know.

Can i come as well if i bring my own suitcase? I think its fine to fly up until the 3rd tri when you cant as if you go into labour they are not trained to deal with you. Plus it wouldnt be much fun giving birth in the plane aisle! :rotfl:

I travelled a lot when I was PG with Lucy and flew up till abotu 26 weeks with no problem. If you want to travel after 28(?) weeks most airlines will want a doctors certificate to say you're fit for travel but check with your specific airline. Also check your travel insurance covers you.

I posted a similar question on the Tri 2 pages recently as was hoping to plan a holiday!

So many of the ladies had all been away during their 2nd trimester that I booked our holiday straight away and will be flying at 20 weeks pregnant and so looking forward to some rest & relaxation!

I dont think there is much to worry about, and as someone commented - you are not made of glass, your pregnant!!

My sis flew to Vegas when she was about 12 weeks gone and had no problems. Just check you will be covered on your travel insurance.

Also take provisions in case you are suffering from morning sickness, she threw up during the entire journey. :wall:

When I was pg with DD I flew at 25wks, but the midwife advised me to wear DVT stockings, as your at an increased risk of DVT. You can fly up to about 33wks with a Dr's certificate.

My sister flew when she was 25 weeks pregnant and it was fine. I think you can fly until the end of trimester 2, then most airlines won't allow you to go with them. Safety and all that crap. Have fun :D

They dont let air stuardesses fly in their 1st tri. Im not sure why, this may have something to do with the amount of flying they have to do putting them at risk. Im not sure. Google mabey?

I went on holiday at 16weeks, was fine :) had a good time as was not to massive.

Then had to go to Hawaii when I was 28 weeks due to a family berievement. Flew back at 30 weeks, was fine, airline didnt even want a letter. I got checked out at Dr and MW before I left anyways, and had another scan at 32 weeks to check everything was ok after all the flights and stress.

Sooo, you should be fine, but might be worth finding out why theres a problem in the 1st tri for trolly dollys.
