I know this was potentially very serious but it was over as soon as it started so I didn't do anything about it. I was going to mention it to mw today.

The other night I was feeding Tilly and she went a bit floppy. I didnt know if she was just very very sleepy (it was a long feed) but she was unresponsive to us talking to her etc. I got very worried obviously and Phil brought a cold flannel and she 'woke up' when we rubbed her with the cold flannel.

Has anything like this happened to anyone else?

It was very scary!

Albert goes floppy sometimes but wakes up again when he's poked, this is during feeding too cos obviously he worked so hard to get his dinner and it's worn him out. Definitely mention it to the mw.

Did she show anything else or just floppiness?

It was the unresponsiveness that frightened me tbh she was breathing etc but she wouldn't stir when we tried to stimulate her :(

As long as she didn't turn blue or anything I would be surprised if it was anything too serious but mw should be able to shed some light, let us know what she says it will be interesting to know.

It's an instant panic isn't it? No matter how calm you try to be something just takes over. We are going to do the baby and toddler first aid course at our surgery xxxxxxxx

That's a good idea bb. I was looking at some infant CPR after this cos it just scared the life out of me.

She wasn't blue or anything, just very still and floppy.

The bloody breathing monitor went off the other night too!

Heart attack!!

Oh ffs that's all you need, still at least you know it works I suppose. I think knowing what to do would definitely make us less panicky, especially as Albert gets to the age where things are either going to be shoved in his mouth or the dvd drawer lol. We have been so worried about him vomiting in his sleep over the weekend and it's made us more determined to do them when they run next.

kayla went floppy couple of weeks ago but she had been breathing funny too so prob not the same thing,

hope its nothing just worn out from feeding xxx
