First Scan - to Confirm Dates

Hi All,
Had my scan yesterday, and was confirmed 8 weeks 2 days
Which gives me an edd 16/12/07, the scan was very clear and baby looked happy enough, bobbing about lol

What lovely news. At what stage did you contact the midwife then? My doctor said to not contact the midwife until i was nearly 8 weeks. But the waiting is driving me crazy. I want to see my baby. I thought they did not scan until 12 weeks.

Any advice would be appreciated. I imagine i will be like Rachel in Friends when she had he first scan and could just not see the baby

No didnt get a pic, and I wanted one cause the scan was really clear. Never mind I will get one nxt time

Hi Ellied, because Guadagnia wasn't sure of her dates they will have given her a scan to check them, and because of some epilepsy medication I take I have a higher risk of the baby having neural tube problems so I am having a scan the day before 'he' has been here 8 weeks.

Also, there are some other threads on the forum, where it says that people are all being treated differently and it's quite random, often depending on the area where they are. Frustrating I know.
