Hi everyone.

I figured it would be a good idea to join a forum, this is a first experience for me and I am a little unsure and worrying about everything!
I am 26 years old, and engaged to be married in 2020. Me and my wonderful partner are 16 weeks pregnant and recently discovered our little one is a girl.

I recently had a very late 12 week scan (midwife communication problems) and the midwife was very happy with the baby, said everything looked perfect and she was the correct size etc. She took a snap shot and printed an image of the babies feet along with 3 general shots for me and my partner which we paid for. But she kept the feet image ? Is this normal for a midwife to do? I have been worrying that something is wrong with her feet although nothing was said ?

Thank you in advance.

Billie x

If she didn’t say anything no defo nothing wrong with her feet, she will of just given it as it was a cute pic! We got one of my daughters feet at 20 weeks and nothing wrong with them :)

She was saying they were cute but kept the picture.. we didn't get one .
I think I'm just worrying about everything..

I think she has to tell you if she suspects a problem. Weird she kept the pic lol. Did she intentionally do it? I unknowingly hang onto things I'm not meant to at work all the time... haha. I'd just call and ask her why she kept it.

Hi Billie, welcome and congrats,

I'd say not to worry about that scan. They usually don't pick up most things like that until your anomaly scan anyway. So could just have been an accident she kept them, or that she accidentally printed a feet picture. Ask your midwife about it at the next appointment to ease your nerves. But if anything was up, they'd have told you.

You should have a look at the mummies group for your due date. It's very helpful to speak to women due the same time as you and there's great support here xx

Congrats and welcome!

Can't help with the scan as we are also expecting our first. Feel free to join us on the November mums thread :)

Yeah I did think it was a little strange.. my other half seemed to think she might be using it for publications or something? Thank you all! I will definitely join the November mums thread! Xx
