First period after having LO....When will it arrive??

basically how long will it be until i get one, on average??
I've had little tummy cramps the past 4-5 days but NOTHING! i am convinced somethings coming but it never does so just wondering how long everyone waited before getting their first period after having their LO's??

i know this will probably be hard to answer as it all happens at different times but a rough guide would help soooo much!

I had jack on 8thmarch and my next period was 25th may. I can only rennet cosbit was my nephews christening and of course I was unprepared

mine came two weeks after i stopped breastfeeding, stopped bf at 3 months

mine came when baby was 5weeks. and my lord its the heaviest period i have ever known by far!!

Are you breastfeeding? If you are, i dont think you can predict them!

can i ask? do you bleed first after giving birth for a few weeks and then it stops if breastfeeding and might not come back until you stop bf?

I think that's how it works, I bled for about 4 weeks. I think u can still get periods when breastfeeding but they can be irregular xxx

I stopped breastfeeding at about 6 weeks, period followed 2 weeks after that. It lasted longer than my periods used to but was fairly light x

Thanks!!! had my first visit last week.
I stopped breastfeeding when Ava was 1month old and gt my period when she was just over 6 weeks which wasn't as bad as i thought it would be at all!!
