First midwife appointment

Any other ladies had their first midwife appointment ?
I had mine today I'm 9 weeks today as well
Just wondering what you thought and what you made of it ?

My midwife was lovely and already started asking where I want to give birth! She did tell me it's best to book in with a large hospital if I wanted a hospital birth because two in my local area are shut on and off due to lack of staff .. nurses having to go work in bigger hospitals as they're understaffed. Do couldn't guarantee when I'm in labour they're even available or I could stay in if needed meaning being relocated anyway.

Hi thea, im only 5 + 2 and have my 1st midwife appt in 5 weeks. I was wondering about the large hospital where i would have to go. The mat unit was in news about a month ago saying it had to send women in labour away as they were full! I am gutted theyve closed the community mat units.always felt more personal there! As if labour isnt stressful enough without worrying about whether youll get help when needed! Our next nearest hospital is around half hour away!
