Finding out the gender

Ok, so I've heard that you can tell the gender of the baby from 16 weeks, I'm not having my first scan until next Thursday where I should be about 14 weeks, is there any chance I could find out? or is it just too soon you reckon? Would it be worth asking the sonographer anyways? Thanks

I got a scan at 12wks and at 20wks and they couldn't tell me until the 20wk scan.

I think it might be early... but no harm in asking!

i think the earliest they can tell is 16 week

got told mine at 20weeks 3days but she werent sure was pointless lol
