Fertility vits

Hi i cant massively help, but when i spoke to a Doctor recently she advised the man going on Wellmans Conception and getting 100% Vitamin C outside of that.
For me she said a generalised pre natal vitamin would be good.
I personally looked into & added omega 3 for this cycle - its good for sperm count DH and for women ive read it can help with CM. Omega 3 is pretty raved about for during pregnancy as well so cant see it doing any general harm!
I know for IVF they have you on COQ10 (depending) but i take 500mg (helps eggs)
Hey. Where do you get your coq10 from? I’m looking to start takikg this but as it’s expensive I want to make sure I get correct one. X

Re the coq10 if anyone has a Costco membership they sell it in there too, think the dosage is around 300mg and it’s less then £20 for a big tub around 100 tablets, generally speaking though it’s not cheap especially if you buy it from the likes of boots or Superdrug x

Aw thanks I’ll have a look. Just deciding if worth the expense. I’m thinking probably is x

well ones i bought are pretty cheap and last 3 months, i am only just about to run out -

According to my book, research has shown that coq10 from ubiquinol and bio-quinon is the better absorbed in to the body than coq10 alone, so you don’t have to take as much although it can be a bit more expensive.

I used pure clinica brand, which I got off amazon for a reasonable price x

Does anyone know if there are studies showing that Co enzyme Q10 really works?

I’m sorry my camera on my phone isn’t working so I can’t post the seven seas ingredients

As well as the explanations of the studies above I’ve included the details so you can read them yourself if you wanted.

I'm not a big fan of supplements to be honest. We tried for 3 years in total and I tried so many things in that time. From memory - seven seas, pregnacare, own brand conception vitamins, omega 3, coq10, zinc. I'm sure I've forgotten plenty. By the time we were coming up to the 3 year mark, I'd had enough and stopped everything. Just took folic acid and vitamin D. Then much to our surprise, we finally caught after all that time. It was also the most relaxed we'd been in months as we really had given up.

I'm not a fan of supplements either...I think too many of them can put too much stress on your body. Interesting that you caught once you were off them! I am wondering about vitamin D, although the milk I have is fortified with that so I should be covered.

I only did folic acid/vitamin d as they were NHS recommended. My cycles were always clockwork and nothing I tiok interfered. My OH carried on with a multivitamin but just a regular one as they were almost the same and he wanted to take something as there had been some debate over his sperm quality. He wanted to. I didn't push it.

Folic Acid and Vit D are recommended by the NHS now, it comes in 1 tablet though and everywhere sells them x
