Doctor was lovely (cracking sense of humour which put me at my ease).went through background etc then internal ultrasound. Showed me uterus and ovaries. Uterus is right shape, size etc and is looking the right thickness for where in my cycle I am. Ovaries look healthy and correct and I have 10+ follicles on each which is good (correct me if i get my terminology wrong). Took 2 vials of blood, one for background and one as I'm on day 4 (can't remember what each looks for)

I go back just before ovulation for another scan. If I'm early (irregular cycles) they'll do another one a few days later at no extra cost which is nice.
