Does anyone know of a male fertility supplement that doesn't contain Ginseng or Maca?

My husband has been on Wellman's all year but was complaining of chronic insomnia. I discovered that insomnia is a side effect of both those ingredients and as soon as he stopped the Wellman's he started sleeping well. I've Googled quite a few fertility supplements and even multivits for men and they all have Ginseng in, which I find odd as it does seem to have a few side effects.

Thanks!

Sorry I can't remember your story. Were there any sperm issues with your OH? How is his diet and lifestyle in general?

I'm wondering if you could just get a general multivitamin (not male specific) and add any others individually if needed?

Some issues ... mobility was ok but not great. His diet is excellent. He hasn't been able to exercise recently due to an injury. I guess I could look into a multivitamin plus extras...it's just that it gets expensive if you buy stuff individually.

Thanks for responding.

I know what you mean about cost. If his diet is good could you just get something for motility specifically? Might balance the cost a little bit.

That's a good idea...I'll have to do some research. Thanks.

This might be a dumb question, but does he take his vits in the morning or evening?x

Hi Kitana, he takes them at lunchtime. From what I've read now, insomnia is a known side effect of both so not sure that the time of day is having an effect. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Aww that's annoying! Maybe you could check out some vits on Amazon or just the store brand ones? Have you found anything yet?x

I've found some multivits but the detox from the Maca is now so awful he says he doesn't want to take anything yet. Apparently it can take up to 6 months to get out of your system. I don't blame him really.

Hi jumping here as we too are in a predicament with supplements.
I have read a lot everywhere how amazing vitamin C is for TTC for men.. but they suggest 1000mg
I also know omega 3 is great for you both..
You could do a general multivitamin and add a couple of things as well?
Selenium is good for bad morphology
Vit C does counts and motility
Id do some generalised Googles and see..

Thanks Soffphie - ah, yes Omegas...forgot about them. We are going to eat oranges as neither of us react well to huge doses of it in supplements. I am having seed butters, which I think is good for selenium - pumpkin, sunflower, and tahini.
