Fennugreek

Has anyone actually tried this in the capsule form. I have bought them but dont know when its best to start taking them. There is no point in asking the midwife as she told me they didnt work anyway.

I bought the seeds from a health food shop and took them a couple times but that was it. I got a whopping headache and wasn't sure if it was to do with them.

Kellymom has info on fenugreek as a lactalogue (sp) might be worth a read?

I think they should be ok Laura. I love fenugreek - love chewing on them.
I drink it in tea form - Weleda Lactation tea.

Oats are another galactologue so I have just polished off an entire box of flap jack haha. I wouldn't take them til after your milk has come in as there is no point before then.

What are these products meant to do. Is it something to do with milk flow?? Any others you know of?
