I bought a pack of femme fresh wipes for my hosp bag now I am wondering if they will sting after the birth...Did you use them if not what else did you use?

I think femme fresh would sting i used pampers pure the non scented one, but the best thing was using clean water and dryin off with a towel xkelx

nothing but water went near that for a few days. then i risked soap.

i didn't use anything else until it didn't hurt to wee. I was too scared it would sting like mad!

 Corr my Lu Lu stung to pee, can't imagine what fem fresh would have done.

I did manage to use soap down there hours after having Harrison though but that could be due to still feeling numb after having to have a spinal to get the placenta out

Step away from the fem fresh! Just the thought brings tears to my eyes!

Warm water and a fresh clean towel for the first few days is the least painful way to go hun. It hurts enough down there after the birth without adding to it!

ooooh no I imagine they would sting. what i did do though was I got a disposable ice pack which helped things heal really quickly, I used it the day after the birth :D

 ooh no just plain water... femme fresh will sting like hell!!
i wouldnt even use a baby wipe, i used a pamers sensitive to wipe my nose the other night.. and that stung too!

I have removed the femme fresh...Thanks all...seemed like a good idea at the time

What exactly is fem fresh? Is it like a deodrant for your lower regions!? Have you used it during pregnancy? Just wondering!

I kept some pampers sensitive with the aloe vera stuff on in my downstairs toilet, which is always cold. I used them when I had been for a wee and it felt lovely, might have been the coldness though rather than the wipes. Would recommend them though, I had an episiotomy and it was sore using loo roll for a week or 2.

you can get wipes for down below...I used to buy them for when I was on my period just makes me feel cleaner...I do use them while pg get a bit of urine leakage when cough ,sneeze etc so can just wipe and go LOL

I did buy some femme fresh and never used it so am using it now instead!

Warm water is definately the best thing for after birth, natural and pure!

It never hurt me to pee after birth and I had an episiotomy although the stitches were sore for couple weeks!

my insides felt like they were falling out after i was stitched up, i had an episiotomy and my stitches were so sore plus it hurt like hell to wee! when i first got up to go toilet aftewards, I called my mum from the toilet telling her I darent go!!! But anything other than water I reckon would cause u more pain than labour if your stitched. Maybe you can save them for when your a bit more healed (thats if u do get stitched, hopefully you will be a lucky one).

I did i took femme fresh and guess what

DO NOT DO IT!

owey owey owey owey owey owey owwwww!

I guess u thought they would keep u fresher and cleaner down there after birth!

Take everyones advice and just use water!!!

I had third degree tear and found best way to stay fresh and clean was to switch pads after initial delivery to always ultra, coz they absorb everything and hold it away from yr skin. I found them more hygienic. Plus wash downstairs regularly.

I found arnica pills really helped me mend quickly. Was up and about
(wif out limp) two weeks after having my little boy, mucking out my horse and everything.
Also if things are really sore and you cant dry wif a towel, use a hair dryer!
BUT KEEP THE SETTING LOW!

Best of luck wif the birth wish u both well. Keep us posted!
