Feeling low about friendship changes

well my friend had her 2nd baby in may and she kept putting me off when she had the baby - i didn't want to invade on her when i know she had a traumatic birth and was depressed but i didn't stop texting her!!!

My best friend has a habit of letting me down when she says shes going to come over but she did throw me a surprise baby shower and been in touch nearly every day over my ankle!! maybe they dont want you to feel obliged about going out with them or dont understand as thats what my friend said when i asked her what she was doing for her bday and she was going out drinking (i couldn't have gone as i broke my ankle anyway)!!!
