Feeling bad about not working

I have worked since i left school and the only time i have had off is my maternity leave which doesnt end for another 14 weeks. But i feel bad about not working already! I only earned minimum wage so after nursery fee's it won't be worth me going to work, and me on OH would rather me look after her until she can talk. But we have already planned to TTC when LO is threeish which means when Alice starts Playgroup and nursery so i would be free to work ill be getting pregnant again! We want another baby tho and OH is happy to work and me stay at home but i feel shitty, i feel like im not contributing even tho atm i get maternity pay and we would get working familys tax if i didnt work... but still how can i go six years out of work!!! x

I know how you feel, its really weird not earning your own money and contributing financially to your family but i try to remember that its much better for children to have a parent looking after them if possible for as long as possible, they grow up far too quick but jobs will always be there. Being a parent is the most important job out there and your oh will know that and is obviously happy to carry the financial burden of a family for now while you do the child caring x
