So I had a mmc in September at 8weeks and had an op on the 3/10 to remove the pregnancy, finally had another period on 18/11 and got a positive opk 04/12 however got another postive opk on 16/12. Still no period yet and loads of bfn since. Just feeling totally fed up at the thought that I am not even ovulating or that we r not even getting a shot at ttc. I came off bc pill last October and did not get a period until January I then went on my pill as I was so fed up and didn’t want to put myself through that for another three months but when I ran out in July I got pregnant right away. Beginning to wonder is there something wrong or if it would be worth going on the pill for one month to see if I can get pregnant again after. Don’t really know the point in posting this I just needed to vent and dh just says it will happen in time but it can’t happen without a period or ovulation!!!!! Sorry to rant x

That sounds so confusing I'd be fed up as well!

It took my periods a few cycles after my miscarriage at the end of July to be completely normal again but the cycle lengths were around the same straight away.

Hmm I'd go to the doctors and ask them what they think. Maybe you ovulated twice? Or your body tried to and didn't but did later in the cycle?
Did you have any ovulation symptoms after pos opk? xx

Hey Millie it’s hard to no as I’m sure u r aware we all ss and then u don’t no if it’s in ur head lol. I had slight nausea gagged a few times, have had tender nipples on and off since positive opk. I think ur right in that I didn’t ovulate with first opk. I no there is people who have been trying for a long long time and I feel bad for complaining I just wish we were getting the chance to even try. Sorry to hear about your mc it is a truly awful experience and I hope u r feeling better. Sending baby dust ur way x

Hi Rach

I know that when I got my implant removed pre kids Id quite often get two positive opk's one alot earlier than the later one which I eventually learned that my body was ovulating later than the first stick was showing.

Perhaps you could try tracking the OV in other ways to ensure that you have deffo OV'd. Temping is quite accurate - can be a nightmare to get the hang of but useful and accurate.

I used really sensitive OPKs and tested daily from CD10 - Id usually OV around CD 17-19.

I also used to monitor my CM amount/consistency, another indication of ovulation.

We also tried SMEP so that regardless of when I was OVing I was in with the best chance! LOL.

Good luck and keep your head up!

I’ve been checking my cm but it just seems to be creamy. Cervix has been high and soft for weeks now and had lots of cm at the weekend altho drying up a bit now. We r the same and try to dtd every other day all month to make sure we r covered haha. Think I just got annoyed today at another bfn and no period. I naively thought I would be more fertile after mc and that I would be pregnant by now. I guess I will just have to wait it out on af x

I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage, losing a baby is the worse thing imaginable. I hope christmas has been kind to you.

My cycles have also been ridiculous since I delivered in June, they used to be so normal damn it! They said I would be more fertile for 6 months after a stillbirth but it's been 6 months and nothing :wall2:

I keep continually thinking everything will be ok as long as I get pregnant, but in reality I will probably just be even more stressed! arrrhh

IM o sorry rainbow I can’t even begin to imagine how hard that was. It’s just so frustrating isn’t it that it messes with your cycles so much. I hope yours has now settled. I really hope the new year brings you a bfp x

If its creamy all the time even through ovulation you might want to try using C+. It mimics CM and creates perfect habitat and increases mobility to the egg and keeps alive inside longer too. We used it both times too.

When I came off of my implant which contained hormones I was creamy white for ages - I didnt need C+ second time as was on non hormonal contraception prior to pregnancy. I fell pregnant Cycle 3 following a MC. The C+ is a tad runnier than CM. My CM is like proper clear stretchy a few days prior then I get OV pains then I dry up then I bleed. You get to know your patterns LOL.

Every other day generally and then every day from when you get a positive opk - which even if it was earlier Id still do it to be sure. Quite alot of people do gear up to OV or just release the LH hormone then don't, try not to get too worried.

Hi Rach,

I'm in a similar situation. I had mc at 6.5 weeks at the end of sept. I've been to the dr yesterday because my periods have been weird, lots of spotting etc. He said it an take more time than we expect. I read so many stories of people getting pregnant right after MC, but I think that's unrealistic. I'm sorry you're going through this and I hope your body balances out soon! Try and be patient and stay positive, it WILL happen for you again.
