I will be 9 weeks on tuesday and I have heard diddly squat about either a booking in appoinment or scan from the hospital. The location where I live means we have 3 choices of hospital to have our baby in, but the midwives at my Dr Surgery are linked to only one of these. This means if you choose one of the other two you have your booking in appoinment at the Hospital in question.

I will still be seeing the M/W at My Surgery but only for all my 'Normal'checks. I have an appoinment with her at week 11 but still haven't heard from the Hospital.

Do you think I should have a word with my GP or maybe get in contact with the hospital Directly ??

I'm getting really fed up now as I want to know when I'm going to have my scan to know that 'Flipper' is doing ok. It's particularly hard because we've waited 4 1/2 years for this BFP and my sister had a silent M/C which was only diagnosed at her 12 week scan, so as you can imagine I'm on tender hooks and a private scan is defintely not affordable right now even at £75

 :(

Hi ladies,

I phoned the hospital today and surprise surprise they had no record of a refferal from my GP. So I have left a message for her to fax a copy of refferal to hospital so they can arrange my appointments for me !!!

Sorry you are having such a wait. I didn't get my booking in appointment until week 12, with the scan at week 13 and heard nothing in the meantime. The midwife wasn't informed of the booking in apmt and it was only the doctors receptionist being stern with her that made her come up to the surgery. So furstrating.
I worried aout a silent miscarriage as well, and spoke to the mw at the booking in. she said you would know yourself if it happened - she had one and "just knew" but I didn't find this helpful as I didn't know what i should be feeling. I do think they are still quite rare though, so try not to worr too much.
Hope it will speed up for you now
