Girls I know uz use fertility friend and i have been "kinda" using this month trying to sus how it works etc.

Got afew questions. Regarding CM.

When it says watery what am I looking for?

Egg white, what colour am I looking for????

Creamy consistancy seams self explanitory.

Also been trying to temp a little but my results are baffling me abit??? My temp has went shooting up on Day 7? THen back down 2 days later?

Am doing OPKS, usually I ovulate from Day 15 and latest has been Day 19.

Am on Day 13 right now and got a positive on my OPK already.... but its really faint.... on back of packet it says this is classed as a negative.

But last month I did an OPK at 1pm in the afternoon and got a light Positive, (which would count as a negative) then i did it again later on that day and got a positive that matched the control line in darkness. If i never tested a 2nd time id presume Id not ovulated that day.

Sooo confusing!!!!! This is my first day of this cycle iv started using the OPKs and decided am going to test 2x a day, early afternoon and tea time. Am goign to keep testing right until Day 22 to see what kidn of results am getting.

Would one of u girls have a look at my fertility friend... I just am quite confused and Id really like to "properly" start using it next month.

Ok lainey...have you set up your homepage of fertility friend?? if so let us know the address and I'll have a look.

CM questions....I also find these a bit hard to interpret sometimes.

creamy - like you said self-explanatory (like cream, milk, hand-lotion)

watery - can be clear or slightly creamy/white. of a more watery consistency than above with perhaps a slight stretchiness to it.

Egg white - literally like raw egg whites...generally clear and very stretchy

Temps...

a single high temp is quite normal...if you look at my chart you'll see i always seem to have 1 raised temp that drops back down again a few days before ovulation. i thinks Becs is the same.

your positive OPk could well be a positive or a fade-in pattern...keep testing over next few days..it may get darker and become properly poitive, or you may get negatives in which case i would class that one as your positive. are you using the same OPKs as last time?

tips i can say is

when temp ....

always test in same place in your mouth
always test as soon as u wake up , dont do anything first and try to eep it same time as poss , min 3 hours sleep.


my temps flutuate a bit durring menses (af) then sometime a sloght rise to show ovulaton or like this month i got a huse rise !


cm ,

i class mine as watery if it clear and a bit stretchy ,
eggwhite is when its really stretchy ( should be able to stretch 2 inches )
creamy , i suppose is cloudy ?

i kept missing my poss , till last month ! and yes ur right , do it twice aday , i find at about 10 am then again at 5 or 6 is good , try not to pee for at least 2 hours b4 doing them or drink gallions either !

pos is only when the 2nd line is as dark or darker , after getting this ovulation usually takes place 12 to 48 hours after ! so bd lots !
i can get a gradual increase in colour from about cd11 and last 2 months got poss opk on cd 13/ 14 and ovulated the next day ( confirmed by temps and god awfull pain lol)

Hi, ive only just started using fertility friend myself this cycle, and I have found it quite easy to get the hang of even if Im still a little cloudy on the more advanced aspects!

I cant really answer your questions on cm any better than the girls already have as im still unsure about that - im actually not sure I have any EW?????

But as far as temps go, I dont think ive seen one chart where they are steady, have a look at mine and you'll see lots of mountain peaks and valleys lol, maybe thats cos I live in wales?

What you are looking for with ovulation is a drop and then 3 days of rising temps that take you over and above previous temps for that cycle. Fertility friend will mark where it predicts your ovulation to be, its spot on with mine and seems to be with others too. Using this with the OPK's should give you a pretty accurate OV day, and once you know the pattern you'll be able to tell next cycle when your OV is approaching (FF cant set the OV day until after it has happened it seems?)

EW cm = when you put two fingers in and then you can open fingers and the CM stretches
watery is like when it is wet but not so stretchy and if you rub your fingers together it dries quickly
creamy has a cloudy clouring and is slightly thicker and sticky is just that if you put your fingers together it has a slight pull tackiness to it.

Plus as you all know my AF Officially started on the fri, but iv actually dated it back to the wed as i noticed spotting of blood on the wed..... (Foolishly thot because i was late that this was also implantation bleeding) so iv actually labelled my AF as starting on wed as am unsure if that was it or not or if fri was the offical start date.

spotting doesnt count as af ,, uner menses there is a spotting thingy , but ff will start af when u have proper flow (light / med / heavy) i always get a day spotting before and after.

wow that temp hike ! then drop , weird ! anything different could make your temp up or down like that ? if u hadnt had the drop i woulda said u ovulated

Woooo...that is one massive temp change.....the only thing I can think of is that the three temps around the hike have an open circle suggesting you took them at a different time and perhaps this has had some effect.

have you tried putting your opk results on fertility friend as well as it may help with the interpretation?
