F*****g Fuming after yesterday!!! LONG!!!!!!!

Well some of you know that I had an extra scan letter sent through to me last Saturday.

This came through as the midwife assumed I was having Jaiden at a hospital closer to me but when I said I would quite like to go to one in Nuneaton (about 25 miles from me) she referred me and that's when I got my scan letter.

I called on the morning of the scan to double check it definitely was a scan as I was 25 week and I was assured I was on the scan list for 3pm. So packed OH and Mum up to go for the scan, very excited!

Got to this DOG pound of a maternity unit which the look of it put us off right away but I thought it's the care and attitude of staff that matters. Went in and was kept waiting an HOUR and a HALF with a full bladder with no apologies or explanation only to be told "Oh no, your only here for a booking in appointment after referral. The sonographer looked at ur notes and said you don't need a scan as you're 25 weeks!"

I LOST it completely and told the ugly crows that I called THAT morning to double check it was a scan or I wouldn't have brought my Mum, wasted diesel and time out of work for nothing as I already had a friggin bookin in appointment! She started giving me attitude so I told her to GIVE ME BACK MY NOTES as I wasn't having the baby there. Then she had the cheek to say "wow, just because you can't have a scan you don't need!".

I shouted "NO, it's because I've seen more sanitary looking gutters, I was kept waiting an hour and a half even though I was asked to come 15 mins early and even though you KNEW I wasn't having a scan, no one told me or explained the situation until just now!"

Basically, George Elliot in Nuneaton is disgusting, disorganised and a huge mess and I wouldn't touch it with someone elses. Sticking to what I know as the hospital I had my son at didn't try muggin me off and make me wanna uppercut a midwife!

What a load of crap! Sounds like an awful place with bad staff - if I spoke to a patient like that where I work I'd be disciplined! How totally disappointing - we all know how ultra excited we get when we think we're going to see our LO's again and it's perfectly understandable that you were so upset and angry. The very least they should have done in that situation was apologise sincerely and explain there has been a cock up somewhere - not attack you for being upset!!

Awww, thanks! The thing is, she made out like I was being greedy for extra scans, like I asked for it or something! I would have been ok with not having one if someone explained right away and had a bit of common decency and courtesy about them but they were rude, rude, rude! We're making a complaint anyway! The rotters!!!

they are hard work i was kept 2 hours after my 12 week scan coz the were short staffed just to check my notes ............and then to be told i had to give them blood again coz they lost the first lot at my book in app,

when i had my son, and was in labour a cleaner bagged all my belongings out the birthing room when i was rushed in for section (the cleaner put them in a yellow disposals bag) and then they burnt them im talking phone/keys/gold/clothes basically every thing i had on me when i went in got destroyed, ha they came an told me 30 mins after id ad my section - wasnt happy to say the least

so now i just do not trust them at allllllllllllll its scary really

Yeah you're all right. My gut instinct was to run a mile but not be put off by the look of it but it lived up to my first impression! RANK!!!!

@Nadine.....jheeze and I thought I was hard done by! That is shocking!! It's not even like you have the energy for kicking off after you've just had a baby either is it! Lol. Hope they paid up!

yer but it took ages n wasnt easy

they ended up giving me 200 pound, i could of pushed for more coz to replace locks on my door / new ugg boots / rings a couldnt replace etc it totaled a lot more then 200 but felt kind of bad taking more of the nhs when they dont av alot anyway

i tell u thins time ill be going in in my pj's an dressing gown even if it 1in after noon lol

You're much nicer than I am mate! I would have wanted compensating for every last penny! I mean, what kind of shit is that to burn someones belongings! I highly doubt you left them next to an incinerator!!! Glad you got something back tho xx

Lex I'm fine thanks hun, but would you believe I've had a cold all week, felt really run down....I blame the flu jab, was fine before that! But at least it's just a cold and nothing worse. xx

different hospital mine was bolton..............that was just one thing
they let me down in so many way and unfortunately im stuck avin to go there this time to........

when in labour i was examined 3 times by 2 doctors at 9 cm who both failed to pick up little man was stuck and in distress n told me to progress with labour normal, if it wasnt for my fantastic midwife picking up on the signs n get me in for a section (talkin 10mins max )he or even both of us would av been a goner.....

after avin my lil boy i got baby blues but nothing to bad (thanks to my family), i was a young single first time mum who had a horrible labour etc, ................my health adviser missed 3 follow up appointments with and only ever seen me n my son once up untill this day

and when my son was born he had a blue spot (dont no if any of you know what it is) its kind of like a birth mark and mixed race babys get them usually on there lower back or bum but they kind of look like a big bruise................well i had to tell them at the hospital to make a note of it, as when i read up previously on the net they tell you to as a safe gard, ..............

anyway ex amount of days later i was questioned over it in a way that they to me, were trying to say id done it, i was devastated .......i think coz my lil lad is mix race but very very white in his appearance they didn't realize he was n just thought it was a bruise (obv not check notes), any way good job id made a fuss about them documenting it and when they check up they realized they had dropped another bollock

all in allllllllllll crud service but all hozzy are pretty much same round here

my friend just had a lil girl and they put her weight down as 8lb 3 oz when really she was only 7lb3oz but only found out 2/3 weeks later when the people were gettin on her case saying her lil girl had lost a little to much weight

i had my 1st 3 in royal oldham hospital and even though they was rushed all was fine in the hospital im at the midwives seemed so relaxed and not rushed i loved it

My little boy is 1/4 White so mixed and he still has the blue/green mark on his bum at 4! And if they would have checked ur notes before accusing you they would see that ur son has a black dad and therefore is mixed! Dumb asses!

this is my point its as if you have to be 10 steps ahead of them all the time(well i will be this time) i was so young and just so concerned about labor and gettin threw it i didn't give any of the other things that happened a thought and who would?? you just expect a level of care

its kind of like when i was in labor the doctors made me feel because i was a new/first time mum i didn't have a clue, but i knew i was in to much pain (sounds silly i no coz i was in labor ) but i just knew some thing was wrong but yet still they didn't check,

anyway hehe i dont really like saying to much coz i bet i put the fear of god into first time mums etc TRUST I JUST HAD A BAD TIME NOT ALL HOZZYS OR LABORS HAPPEN LIKE MINE X XX
