Expectant father, due date today!

So me and my partner have been counting down every day since we found out were expecting our firstborn. That day is finally today. The nursery is ready, the car is set and were good to go!


BUT the questions have now started. Will I be a good father? Why isn't my partners bump tiny compared to others? All the midwife checks have been fine. So today is a bit of an anticlimax. Obviously it's only a guide line but it doesn't seem real that I'll be a dad any day now (although we both agree she will go the full 2 weeks over but hey! We're no doctors just gut instinct)

What were other mums and dads feelings as the due date approached and expired still with no baby?

Going past the due date is strangely stressful, but sooo normal! Just keep your mind on other things, and enjoy these last few days together just the two of you.

I think it's normal to question parenting abilities when the time is near, but am sure you'll be great! Just relax and enjoy the time before the birth x
