Anyone know anything about this? When I saw the HV I was telling her my back and my knees hurt and I'm sure if I lost weight it would help but can't afford the gym since DH got made redundant :( . I told her I was a regular gym user before pregnancy and would love to go back to it but can't afford it so she suggested asking the GP . I've now filled out the form and got to ring them but before I do I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this?

i heard about it in the news. they are planning to soon offer this to all women who's BMI is over 25. i really want to use this as i just cant afford the gym but would love to (and need to) go.

my hv is looking into prescribed excersise for me too, will let you know if anything comes about!

I got the form and rang the number on it and they were very nice and asked which gym I would like to go to. So I chose which one I wanted and they said they would send the forms and I would hear back in a few weeks from the gym. Didn't want to wait so rang them direct to ask about prices and it as it's a referral I can;t pay monthly so worked out a £32 per month if I went 3 times a week which is still too expensive for me but when I asked what there normal price is they do a direct debit of £20 per month off peak so I said I would have that instad of going through the referal :D . Going for induction on Friday  .

The price with the NHS includes a personal trainer which you book specific time each week but not really convenient as I don't know when I can get a babysitter and will have to work around DH shift work. I always used to go 3 times a week prepregnancy so will stick to it.
